June 2019 – Hope Charitable Foundation donated $ 5,000 to Rotary Club of St. Catherine South for their project to help severely malnourished children under 5 years of age. The foundation works with Rotary Club of Karachi and Aga Khan University (AKU) who identify needy children and monitor their growth. This is done by especially prepared ” Ready to Use Supplementary and Therapeutic Food” (RUSF & RUTF). It is packed in form of sache which contain 92 Gm of nutrients is given up to 3 times a day.
AKU has now started given these RUSF sachets to under nourished and lactating mothers who were diagnosed with malnutrition which result in healthier children. It is an amazing project which is saving lives of young children. Our contribution provided about 12,000 sachets which are manufactured by a local pharma company. This will go a long way to save lives of many children
